So I get to Rotterdam, and find my hostel is...well...a hell hole! Gym mats for beds, no sheets, bloodstains on the walls. And I think most of Holland's mosquito population in the one room. Not very nice. Even the people stayin' there were not all there, like the guy who wanted me to smell him every five minutes.

I made it two nights, then politely... I checked out.

I found this boat/hostel, called The Clipper. I stayed on it for just the one night, but it was great. Really nice owners. Welcoming. Ok, so the room was a little small, but fantastic if you're a couple who like to snuggle.

No wierd noises, no hassle, no drama, just a peaceful nights sleep. Very cool.

Sounds pretty cool. We were going to head to Rotterdam, but opted for Poland instead. I remember looking at some hostels there though and they were pretty cool. Well, not the first one you mentioned!

You made the right choice. Poland is great. Really nice people (in my experience). Krakow is phenominal. Beautiful market square. Amazing scenery. One of my favorite stops on the trip...

What did YOU think?

I absolutely loved Krakow. My husband's mother is from there, so we were given lots of know-how and info before we went. My only regret was we didn't make it Zakopane.
