Formula 1 Hotel (no joke) in Zürich: 40 US$ for a (brand new) triple room (not per person!!) with Cable TV. Cleaned everyday and eat as much as you can breakfast for 4 US$. This is top for one of the most expensive cities in the world. No rules, open 24 hours.

Wow! That does sound great for truly one of the most expensive places to visit in the world. I believe that Zurich was recently voted one of the best places to live in the world. Maybe that might soon effect the rates

Thanks for the tip!

That Formula 1 hotel sounds pretty good! $40 a night for a triple?! I´m on that, dawg! B)

How long do you plan on staying in Zurich? It´s supposed to be astronomically expensive. Bring the credit cards for back up!

Formula 1 is actually a budget hotel chain. I found them in France as well. Really clean, cheap, and nice.

So did anybody ever find out if there were any cheaper places in Zurich? Im looking or should I say hoping for something under 20 euros a night. Any hostel will do.

Also I tried to book a few hostels and it wouldnt let me! It says there are no beds available for online booking at this time (or close to that) and I find that odd considering I am trying to book for January anybody have any clues?

I´m not sure why it didn´t let you book, but I just tested it and it seems to be working properly.

Here´s the link to the available hostels in Zurich through the booking engine- Zurich hostels

Let me know if you have any other problems with it
