no, smelled awful. the story goes that me and my siblings would ask my pop about being in thailand when he was on leave from vietnam. he'd tell us this big long story about this and that and then cruise by the detail that he ate monkey on a stick. MONKEY ON A STICK! as kids we always thought that was so funny.
SO...when monsignor, spacevirgin and i headed up to vancouver, BC last fall and found LIZARD on a stick. i shot a photo for my pop.
i think i was still a vegetarian at the time, but i really don't think i would have eaten it. was all overly salted and smelly.
weirdest thing i've ever eaten was gator....tasted like chicken.

Sweet breads... is not what it sounds like. It is a gland, or something, from a cow and is basically like beef bacon. It looks like goo before you cook it, but damn after you have a few beers (even without) it is so good. Not nice for cholesterol, but mmmmm.....
Mountain oysters (calf fries)
I just finished a nice venison, pablono pepper, gold potatoe, garlic, and herb stew that I made as well!
If it tastes good I will eat it.
Oh and that stinky, ugly fruit called durian. It is not ugly or stinky and rocks!

I love venison. If that's considered weird.
I also enjoy ginger; all my friends think it's sick.
I do the whole pizza thing, without the cheese.
And our family makes this Scandinavian dish called crub. It's potato dumplings with meat inside. You put milk and butter and salt all over, mmm so good.
People tell me I'm a picky eater.

It's not a regular thing but since I've been in China I've tried snake, scorpion and dog. Before that I would say ox tail(bull vertebra) stew in Spain.

I've had snake too, and had frog in Vietnam, horse in Holland, there is probably something far stranger that I have forgotten...

I'd say it is okra because of it's slimy texture.
