US Dollar vs Euro

The US Dollar has been gaining on Euro for the past few months.

This is great news for travelers and people living in Europe, but earning American Dollars.

Right now, $1,000 US Dollars gets about 745€

Last Nov/Dec $1,000 US Dollars got about $650€


The Greece debt crisis has helped push the euro down, and from what I've read, it's just the beginning. Spain and Portugal also have mounting debt problems that may cause the euro to come down even further.

Here's a chart of the Euro/USD. Basically, the more this chart continues to go down (right side of chart), the more valuable the US dollar will be.

Let's hope that it continues trending down and all US travelers (other countries too) can travel to Europe cheaper!

yeah I noticed that a couple weeks ago, This is great news for travelers. The exchange rate is almost where is was 5 years ago... hope it gets even closer.
