Heading to Mexico for the month of June. Hoping to do it as cheap as possible. Anyone have any advice for an itinerary? I was hoping to get some recommendations on little towns or un-touristy cities/ beaches. Anyone?
Also, if anyone is interested in meeting up- my friend and I are interested in making our way with others doing the same.

mainland. I'll be spending most of my time between the Yucatan and Chiapas, but will eventually make my way into Mexico City. If I end up busing all the way up to California from there, it might be nice to have destination stops on my way north.
I haven't been there but lots of my family love the towns of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo...
