Nice camera! The problem with digital SLRs is you're going to want to start buying lenses and filters and tripods and whatnot. It starts innocently enough, you think "I'll just get a wide angle lense and a polarization filter." Before long you're desperate and end up selling your blood and organs to pay for the latest macro lense.

I know!! My bank account keeps me in check, and it came with a polarization filter and tripod so thankfully I don't have to get those anymore.

I might cave on the macro lens though...I do love me some tasty close-ups! And I still want an underwater housing for my powershot A630 so I can take it diving with me...

I just bought a new digital camera the other day...not an expensive, top of the line one. I just needed something to take nice pictures and hoped to find one that has a few features. I've been a long time Sony user, so I am used to the brand. I got the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55. It was on sale for only $189 plus tax, so not a bad price. I had no camera to take Christmas pictures!! Now I do.

Good purchase, Benna... The DSC-W55 was my main camera up until the last Europe trip and I loved it. Jake had the same one, I believe.

I now use another W-series camera as my sidearm, supplementing the DSLR. Great for quickie shots and throwing videos up on YouTube.
