I'm searching for the best camping places in France, Spain and Switzerland. Last year i went there for 2 weeks, but nearly on every camping site there were only families and a lot children. There was no nightlife at all.

Do you know some nice camping sites?

in several towns, there is a campsite on the town hostel property. nightlifeis definitely something i didn't notice at all camping on the village campsites (just switch the families and alot of children with mostly retired french and english couples)-but i was typically to tired from cycling there to care. in any case, i camped on the Nice campsite next to their hostel for a few days, and it was chill. The campsite next to the Menton hostel is also awesome. in Menton, the campsite was actually seperate from the hostel-but still more nightlife than the other towns i went through.

just got back from camping in andorra. i dont bother with nightlife when im camping, mostly cause i dont stay in town. andorra has so really good camping, free to. just get to a tourist info when you get there and they will give you a map of the sorrounding mountains and the free refuges in them. really beautiful place.

if your doin the alps, dont miss interlaken or chamonix. havent been to the alps but these 2 places seem to be the major hubs for mountaineering in the alps.

I'll second that vote for Interlaken, that area is amazing. Absolutely breathtaking. Damn, I just said breathtaking. But yeah . . . I didn't stay in Interlaken, I staying in Grindelwald which is nearby, the nightlife wasn't too great. But I'd heard that the nightlife in Interlaken is pretty good.

I'd like to get a group together that has experience with ice climbing (I don't) and go back. There's some huts up in the mountains, above the glaciers, that can be hiked to in a day, and supplies are flown in by helicopter. Those glaciers are amazing, you'll watch them cracking apart, avalanches, rivers roaring out from beneath them, and then you'll see some nutcase hiking across it. I'd like to be one of those nutcases.
