Hmm..Do Russians use the personal pronoun for present tense verbs? The only verb we've learned in 5 weeks is zovut. Menya zovut _____. My class moves so slow. I thought I barely knew anything but I know a lot more than I thought. I wish an intensive course existed at my university. I learned faster in two weeks from a teach yourself book than from this class in 5 weeks. =[

Also I'm applying for a work-study internship. I emailed the coordinator and he said a small number of people (2 or 3) apply so hopefully I will get it. If I do get it I will supposedly make $300 a month with opportunities to make more by teaching and some other things.

Russians do not use personal pronouns (nominative) in the everyday life I believe. But otherwise yes. However, the equivalent of "my name is" is used with the genetive/accusative case, which litteraly means "me is called xxx".

Learning russian at university was also a slow process ! After two years, we could barely make up a sentence on our own.

I'm just starting my Russian language training, don't have the keyboard figured out yet, but will be back here when I do. Nice to interact with others who are studying, but farther ahead of me...
