Traveling to U.S.A from Canada to WWOOF with a one way ticket. VISA???

Alright so I've been running round in circles trying to find the right information on this. So I want to travel with a one way ticket as Im not sure of when I want to return and where I want to return from. I definately know I will return within three months. How does one travel to the U.S with out a return ticket. Do I seriously need to get a Visa? Im doing volunteering as part of an organization called WWOOF- USA, however they don't give much help as it is really independent between the worker and the farm. So if anyone has any ideas, please share.

if you're not being paid, I don't think you need a visa. There are some TPunkers that WWOOF all the time, I'm sure they'll chime in on this soon enough. And being a canadian, you can definately enter the USA anytime you want without needing anything except your passport. I am leaving for a year trip to Austraila and I only have a one way ticket, also having no problems getting a visa for work. Hope this helps abit!! and have a great time!!!
