POLL: Forum Tabs
Do you you like the forum "Tabs" (under the Top 10 Stats) or do you prefer the older normal layout (all forums showing on one page. makes the home page longer)?
Thanks

I prefer the old style. Just so I can see everything in one glance.

The old way is just easier since I use the back button all the time.

I also prefered the old way, although i tend to just use the new posts button & do searches for anything else I want, and it wouldn't take that long to learn how to use the new tabs i'm sure!

I mainly just use 'new posts', but when starting a new thread or trying to find something specific, I liked it the old way.
at first I didn't notice the tabs and so it just looked like most of the forums were missing, but I get it now. So maybe if you wanted to keep the tabs, try to tie them in more to the forum list - at the moment they just look like a list of topics for me. maybe make them the same orange colour as the bars on the tops of the windows/boxes whatever? (for example the one that says 'random album picture' and 'top 10 stats').
Also I don't know if it's just me (but probably not because I have a pretty big screen) but the 'deals/links' tab is on it's own seperate line, if you shrunk the text size so they all fitted on one line, their function as 'tabs' would be clearer.
that's just some suggestions for if you desperately wanted to keep the tabs, but it would probably be easier to just get rid of them all together..

Is your screen resolution set to 800x600? Because this site is best viewed at 1280x800.
As always, thank you all for you feedback! I think the old way was also good. I was looking for a way to reduce the length of the page.

I prefer categories. Then again, I use "new posts" 9.8 times out of 10, so, I just think the tabs are more aesthetically pleasing. However, the two times I've used it, I recall it being incredibly slow loading the lists.

it's at 1440 x 900. the length of the page never worried me, I don't know why but on pretty much all websites, I'd rather just keep scrolling & reading than click lots of buttons... as julia said, it just means more time waiting for stuff to load!

Maybe a few of the boards could be combined to make the page shorter if you decide to go back to the old way. There are a few forums that get only 1-2 threads per year, so they could probably just be merged into a similar forum or into a general hodgepodge forum.

Really? I thought more people would like the tabs, I find it organizes the site better.
