2 weeks in Central America... where to go?
So.... because of renovations to my place, I'm gonna need to be out of the house for 2 weeks starting July 20th. Instead of crashing at a friends, figured why not go somewhere? I literally just found out this would be happening and I need to decide quickly so I can buy a ticket since it's less than 20 days away.
Since I can only go for 2 weeks, I think I'll be sticking to one country so I don't waste a lot of time moving around. I'm definitely looking to spend some time relaxing on a nice beach, plus get into some adventure activities like scuba, hiking, etc. I'll be doing my own research this weekend on what country looks best but I'd like some advice from people who've been down there. The cheaper the place is the better, but I don't mind splurging on the adventure activities.

Panama!!
I think for 2 weeks in one country is enough time to see and do a lot in Panama.
You can relax, party, snorkel, surf, scuba dive, and fish in the Bocas del Toro islands.
You can hike Volcan Baru and the mountain forest, visit hot springs, horseback ride, white water raft, and zipline in Boquete.
You can visit colonial pirate ruins in Portobello or Colon
You can shop, go clubbing, and see the canal in Panama City
You can see paradise, some of the most amazing beaches, and indigenous people on the San Blas islands
The girls are really beautiful so if you're single...
And the buses are tricked out with bass speakers and flashing neon lights and I <3 RUM (or JESUS) signs

Thanks for the info! I was leaning towards Honduras because it seems like the cheapest place to get certified and go scuba diving, but there's not much else to do there. I'll def look into Panama.

Has anyone been to Utila or Roatan in Honduras? I'm planning on booking a dive and stay package at the Utila Dive Center & Mango Inn by the end of this week, wanted to know if anyone's stayed there. Also, any recommendations on places to stay in Roatan?
