You sign up and you can take pretty extensive lessons for free and other members can rate your pronunciation and writing skills. I'm starting over with Spanish to try to start learning it again. My high school skills are rusty, but I've gone through the first 3 lessons pretty quick. No idea if it continues to be a good deal as you go longer, but so far it looks like a great tool!
