I love my ipod video. In fact, I'm listening to it right now. I don't use the video much, but it sure is neato.

30GB iPod video, the video is an absolute lifesaver in some of my more boring classes.

I got a 30gb iPod Video as a gift from my work (!!) in December and 'til recently thought the video function was pretty useless. But now all these sites have popped up with all sorts of video content, and converting stuff to .m4v is pretty easy, so now I can carry around videos I want to show people... "Hey, did you see _____?" With all the cool stuff out there on sites like Youtube and Google Video, it's nice to be able to carry around funny video clips with ya! Still, not a necessity like music is, but it's a decent bonus.

I have a Creative Zen Xtra 40GB. Love it to death (especially the 14 hr battery life that is usually longer, except I'm always making playlists on it). A little bulky but like $100 less than the 20GB iPod at the time, and I've still got almost 4 GB free (haha, lots and lots of songs)

I'm not a big fan of Creative Labs... not since I bought 1 and it broke down within 6 months, got it replaced and broke again. This happened 3 times until I switched to Panasonic. Dunno the model but has all the featurs that I wanted and is practical.
the Creatives would not turn on or would shut down automatically after a few seconds, weird! It was pretty good though when it did work.

Check this out: I'm still using my Panasonic Shockwave portable CD player from about 10 years ago. I feel like a caveman compared to you guys! But I have been considering upgrading to an MP3 player (as a gift to myself for graduating university this spring!).

Actually, if an objective TPunker wants to give me the basic pros and cons of the major MP3 player brands that would be awesome.

I still have my Sony Walkman. I didn't even know how to work an Ipod until last week when my friend let me play with it in his car. It seems like a cool thing to have but I don't mind dragging my Sony to the gym.

i have a 4GB silver iPod mini. i love it even though its all dirty (i really should get a case for it) and there are so many newer and fancier iPods out now. although whenever i use my friend's nano i get worried that it's gonna snap or fall through a crack in the floor or something.. so incredibly thin...
i mainly use my iPod walking to work, on train trips and the iTrip is the best invention ever for road trips

I have this ugly piece of crap:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...5Fencoding=UTF8

It might not look the best, but it can take a beating and has a radio which is perfect for my travels!

I got a midget with a drum set and no-hands harmonica that I carry on my back. Great for parties, the gym, or traveling. Highly recommended. Get one here!

I got a rio 500 mp3 player back in the day 64mb with room for sd card. Was £200 lol.

Dont think i'll be getting an ipod anytime soon - i think they are a bit gimmicky and have heard about the battery problems. Wouldnt mind getting another mp3 player though once i get a bit of money.

A few of my friends have ipods and they say -beside the battery problems- they break down fast. Some of'em have gones through more than 3 ipods in a year!!

I have a little 512 JVC flash mp3 player with radio and voice recorder...perfect for me. But i'm thinking about getting a hard-drive mp3 player (other than ipod) like the iriver.

If I had something that expensive and i needed to replace it once it certainly wouldnt be from the same company. Just shows how people are tyaken in by the "coolness" and image of them I guess.
