Default Frustrated about tickets

Echoing a sentiment from the thread I posted in the "introductions" section..

My very good friend and I are looking to travel for 1.5-2 weeks from JFK to Paris and travel through Paris/Geneva/Berlin and spend 3-4 days at each city traveling via EuroRail.

This is good and well but the biggest problem we are having is booking tickets. I'm using Kayak and want to flight from the end of May to beginning of June (Say..May 19 to June 3 - specific dates are not important). I'm finding $800 (with taxes, fees) to be the best..there must be better!

I see that a lot of people here have found transatlantic tickets for $500-600 but I cannot find these same prices..I'm exclusively using Kayak because I don't know of any other sites but if anyone can direct me to or dispel any information on getting cheap flight that would be very much appreciated!

thanks,
AK

Unfortunately, you're in the same boat as me. Should have booked about 1 to 1 1/2 months earlier. With the "unrest" in the middle east, the airlines are raising their prices just like the gas stations are raising their prices. Sucks big time. Nothing like gouging the public when their already down.
