Default Piccadilly Backpackers - London

Stayed two nights here. The location is excellent, right off the Piccadilly Circus tube stop. I booked a large room but got a 4-bed. Apparently they book up sometimes, even in off season. The beds were comfortable enough, room was warm, linens included. The bathrooms weren't ever too crowded, but got pretty disgusting. They cleaned every day, but you still saw some disturbing shit (seriously, somebody actually shit in the showers and bathroom floor! )

"Breakfast" was free, and included a piece of toast and cup of coffee. Overall, for the price (£12) and location, it's a pretty good deal.

Yeah, for london thats as good as your going to get for that price!! you can always pop into McShit across the road from the hotel for cleaner toilets!!

but for location that place is awesome - even taking a walk around london at night is exciting especially on the weekends. take a walk about, dont be afraid to get lost as london isnt really that big

You can't beat the location, that's for sure. Thanks for the review

The shit on the floor is disgusting though. Barring that, it sounds like not a bad place. How was the weather?

You can stay at the Generator in Russell Square for 12.50 and it is MUCH cleaner, nice, has a bar with 1 pound happy hour, and is close to the tube and a tesco as well :P

Foo

PS: I have stayed here as well. Just thought I would mention Generator is better.

I've stayed at both also and i agree with foo, the generator was so much better. both places are huge and have an industrial feel but are really cheap for london. if you dont mind staying on the outskirts and paying more the globetrotter was really clean, close to a tube and heathrow.

I moved over to the generator after the first two nights, and Im having a much better time. The bar and lounge areas are huge and its much easier to meet people. Ill try to post a review whenever I check out, Ive still got a few more days...
