its not federal law.........liquor laws are state laws, but if the state chooses to lower the age the federal government withdraws road funding because they believe the incidents of drunk driving will increase dramatically.

and im a canadian haha, i just dont see how an age of 21 benefits everyone. we tax the shit outta liquor and it brings in huge revenues, yet down there there are less taxes and a higher legal age (which leads to less total consumption) and therefore less taxes. The united states being one of the countries with the biggest debt could sure use those extra tax dollars haha

ah, the high school kids in Ontario have it so much easier. Now theres lakeport, $24 for 24 beers. I would have killed a man for a deal like that in high school

we have bowen island out here, 5 bucks for 6 including gst and deposit (we dont have pst in alberta) and honestly it is right on par with the leading brands like canadian, labatts, kokanee (not that i drink that shit haha).

Did anybody hear about how pierre trudeaus wife got off of a DUI by saying that because she was his ex-wife she got more attention then other people, therefore the verdict would be unfair! man i hate hearing stuff like that.

For Beer: Stella Artois or Amstel Light
Shots: Southern Comfort and lime or Jager
Best liquor is Mount Gay Rum. Made in Barbados but available everywhere. really strong but smooth. goes great with tonic or ginger ale. i am a huge fan. had a few tonight.

i am a big beer drinker, but recently i discovered 4 shots of vodka in a pint glass then fill to top with red bull... simple! and goes down suprisingly easy... almost to well sometimes, plus the red bull keeps you feeling energised and ready to party!!
oh and if ever in australia... "james squire amber ale" my faaaaaaaaaaavourite!!

Forgot to add this-
i don't know if it's a southern thing but when i was down at school in virginia, my frat used to make desert eagles (which i had never heard of before). it tastes like a carbonated alcoholic version of Country Time and hits you harder that you'd expect. to make them you need a larger cooler with:
30 12 oz. Cans of cheap domestic beer (coors, busch, natty, beast)
2L Bottle Sprite
1L Bottle Lemonade (the american kind, not the UK style )
1.75L (handle) of bad vodka
2 Limes, 2 Oranges and 1 Lemon all sliced
and a 7lb bag of ice

mix it all together and enjoy.

jeff

^ Ummmm.....desert eagles....sounds disgusting.

Great thread!

For me- I love me some rum! Specifically captain....I have yet to have a miserable night or morning with that stuff. I particularly like captain and OJ. That shit is GOOD. Tastes like heaven.

As for shots...I avoid all vodka (the morning after is NEVER good). I'm beginning to detest irish car bombs, especially after a random bar crawl this past weekend. ** When I get my hands on the sucker who kept handing me car bombs.... So, I TRY to stick with soco and lime. Cause...it's yummy, and I rarely ending up huggin' the porcelain god afterwards.

jager seems to be the shot of choice with my friends. i'd much rather just sit and shoot rye all night along with my beer. i think i need a new drink other then beer and rye now cause im getting hangovers that dont allow me to move in the morning
