Any tips to Tenerife?

Have you guys been to Tenerife in Canary Islands? Me and and my mates is planning to go there to spend the holidays. I've been reading some article about this island here in canaryislandsinfo.co.uk/tenerife/ but i was wondering if there are some good local bars where we can enjoy a nice cold beer. Anyone of you guys been here? Any advice you can give?

Never been there myself, yet, but it looks like they have a lively boardwalk with tons of bars and clubs.

went to tenerife, playa de las americas, with my patner the other week. stayed one week at the Gran Tenerfe H10 hotel, which was a good hotel right one the beach, albeit slightly snotty, catering to middle class europeans and not many british.
