10-15 in Eastern Europe
In early May I plan to go visit my family in Perugia,Italy(I found a really cheap 350$ roundtrip ticket on alitalia). I'm then hoping to take 10-15 days to visit some eastern european countries...I'm not sure which.. (my initial interests eastern germany, estonia, prague, budapest)
Any suggestions on a good route or any opinions on the best places to go in this short span of time? I was thinking of ending my trip at the beach in Croatia then heading back to Italy to go home.
Also, I've traveled a fair amount but in mostly countries where I speak the language (spanish, italian, english) - is it difficult to connect with the culture without speaking the native language in eastern europe? I usually find speaking to locals (and travelers) or listening to conversations a really good way to understand to get a feel for things.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
