2 weeks vacation in August, SEA here I come!
Here in GZ, in southern China, flippin through my LP on SEA... Even though August is still 5 months away I'm throwing some feelers out to get some feedback on some possible itineraries. They all start with a couple days in HK as I will be flying out of there...
option 1: Singapore and Indonesia
option 2: Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia
or
option 3: Philippines and Malaysia
Any idea and tips would be welcomed

Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia is a nice combination but I wouldn't recommend all three for a two week trip, especially if you are spending a couple days in HK too. I guess it depends on the point of your trip: to see as many places as possible or a more leisurely getaway. And also on how you will be getting around - by air or overland.

I would be traveling by air mostly. The couple days in HK is not necessary really as its only 1.5 hour train ride from my home, I just haven't had ant time off to go down yet.

In that case I would leave out HK, and consider Laos and Cambodia. Or Thailand. Or Vietnam. I guess you could see some of Thailand plus some of Cambodia (or some of Laos) in two weeks, but personally I don't like cramming too much into a short time. Just my opinion.

I agree I think that if you don't have enough time to really explore you are going to be rushed. Maybe it would help to know more about the time frame/ budget that you have?
