Default Vegas for 2 nights

What up tpunks: I'm heading to vegas for 2 days. I have no idea what there is to do, and good places to eat! Any suggestions for intersting things to do besides the casinos? Any good bars/lounges/clubs to hit?

Well i feel that i can finally help someone around here! Vegas has a very special place in my heart!

2 days i hardly enough for all the goodness that this city has to offer.

First off.. where are you staying?
What are your interests?

I usually go for the relaxation and party.

I will always suggest that people should go to the hotel pools for the afternoon. They are always a party during the day, and if i must say the scenery is always nice. if your hotel doesn't have a good pool, you can always head over to a hotel that does. Caesars, Wynn, Venetian and Hard Rock are a few I would suggest.

I also suggest heading over to New York New York for dinner and beverages at The Nine Fine Irishmen. The beer is delicious and the Irish Stew is a must! The sheppards Pie is also excellent!
Margaritaville is also a good place for dinner and to get a little pregame drink on... be warned though, you'll have Jimmy Buffett songs engrained into your brain for weeks after!

For the evenings i suggest going to see Fremont St. Its the old part of town but still is pretty cool to see all the lights and hear the music along with it. Once you are through with that, the night begins!!!

The Palms has the ghostbar. its a bar/club. The Palms was once the "in" place to be, but recently things have shifted. Now a days Hard Rock is the place to be. The most beautiful people and stars hang out at the hard Rock. They have a club and a concert hall where there are shows all the time.
Mandalay Bay has the House of blues, which also has a lot of big name bands coming through.
Last time i went I spent a night at the night club at Ceasars (cant remember the name) but its the ony one and it was a good time too.
NY NY also has Coyote Ugly. Its a pretty good time seeing he girls dance on the bar. They have a frozen daiquiri bar infront of it too. They are awesome too! one large drink will have you feeling good in no time!

And a friendly warning... ALWAYS watch your drink! I have been roofied in Vegas before and its not fun. Luckily i was with a group of friend and I was taken care of. (I was with a bunch of girls and I'm sue it was meant for one of them)

Thats kinda "on the surface" of what there is to do. if you are looking for anything specific let me know and i'll try to help

Ghostbar is just a club/lounge... Its pretty cool, lots of honey babies easy on the eyes! Its near the top to the Hotel, so the views are top notch at night, and the have a glass floor in a section that looks directly down onto the sidewalk/street.
palms also has the Playboy club too, which is more of the same.

I forgot to mention... if your looking for some easy fun... There is a small shit hole casino across from ceasar's call O'sheas. Now this place is a dive, but there is a lot of good drinkng and 5 dollar BJ tables. And they have a huge beerpong setup in the back... something like 20 tables set up! A Lot of good fun to be had!

What great advice! I would aim for the dive bar myself

Whatever you do, now is the time of year to go while the temps are cool. I hate that hot crap.

^ LOL me too.

But anyways Vegas was fun, thanks for the tips Dillon.

What I ended up doing:

Shot an AK-47 at the Gun Store That was pretty awesome
Saw 'Jubilee' at Ballys... its like the whole classic vegas show with topless showgirls and ridiculous costumes, it was also awesome
Explored the different hotels/malls... the themed stuff is pretty over-the-top impressive

Yeah I think I went there too, but everynight at 4am I always somehow ended up at BILL'S GAMBLIN' HALL which is a dive but their 1 dollar margarittas cannot be resisted

I'm heading to Vegas in 2 weekends with some girl friends from college. Does anyone have any good tips on how we can get on VIP lists? I would love to see Ghost Bar but also wanted to get on the list for the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay.

I've been to Vegas a handful of times but never been to Fremont St - maybe I'll try and work that in - thanks for the tips!!

Has anyone ever gone to the 24hr chapels and just watched weddings (do they even let people do that?) For some reason, I think that would be hilarious.

We get on the lists from knowing the right people, but If i remember correctly, whenever I book a flight to vegas (on orbitz) it always asks if you'd like to buy the VIP pass (prolly not the exact title). I think it gets you to the front of the line to get it and/or a discounted cover charge.
Also, I'd suggest calling ahead to the Ghostbar and reserving a table... The catch with this is that you have to get Bottle service and it isn't cheap... But if you have a group of 5, then it works out pretty good, Just dont stop drinking otherwise they arent shy when it come to asking you to unass the table for paying customers.

Default Grand Canyon Tours and Night Helicopter ride

You may want to do a helicopter ride at night so you can see Vegas lit up from the sky. Also the same tour operator (helitours if I remember correctly) also fly to a over the grand canyon. They will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel and fly you through the grand canyon to some ranch where you will have some lunch and meet some red indians. You will then fly back around midday, flying over the Hoover Dam and some of the great lakes. Did this some years ago. If you decide to do this, I'll give you tip. The operator will give you some lie about how they have to distribute the weight in the helicopter so you have to take the seat your given. I believe this is rubbish as they dont weight you before getting on. It's probably a good idea to request to sit at the front, whilst you are waiting in the lobby, that way you are likely to get a front seat. There should be flyers in the hotel lobby advertising this adventure.
