Tents
So, I have almost depleted my stocks of good tent borrowing karma. As a result, I will be purchasing a tent of my very own within the next week or two. The only problem is, I don't know a thing about tents. So, my fellow back country tpunks, I ask you to educate me in the wonderful ways of the tent.
I am looking for a light, waterproof, three season, two man tent that I can sit up in, that has enough room to stash a rucksack full of climbing gear at my feet. The lower the $$$, the better, but I don't want something cheap, it's value for money that I'm after.
The two front runners at the moment are:
MEC Netting Wanderer 2 Tent - Mountain Equipment Co-op
MEC Tarn 2 Tent - Mountain Equipment Co-op
But, I really don't know if these best suit my needs.
Advice/criticism/recommendations/praise?
Cheers dudes.

^links don't work.
So are you looking for something that is going to stand up to high winds since you've been getting into ice climbing in the winter time?

Yeah, I don't know why those links won't work.
I'll just copy and paste the links directly into this post instead:
MEC Netting Wanderer 2 Tent -
Code:
http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441774941&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302885936&bmUID=1247102978898
MEC Tarn 2 Tent -
Code:
http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442537445&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302885936&bmUID=1247102978899
^^I'm not exactly sure why I had to do that craziness, but it's the only way I could get the links into my post. It's not the most user friendly way of posting a link, but it works.
Nope, I don't need something for alpine conditions. I'm actually not a fan of winter camping at all - it's way too bloody cold. I'm more of a day trip ice cragger type of guy. I'll just be using the tent for summer climbing trips.

So you know the tarn 2 isn't a very big tent; supposedly its a 2 man but really it is closer to a one man tent. The tarn 3 is bigger and listed as a 3 man tent but it is more of a 2 man plus a little baggage.
