I need to book a hotel room in Vegas this weekend and would really like to find a great deal, preferably on or right near the strip. Does anyone know of some insane website that sells cheap hotel rooms? Im thinking of using Priceline.com but Im afraid I wont get a big enough room for 4 people if I have to blindly accept what they offer.

I usually use Hotwire and have done well. I typed in your dates and put 4 people and came up with a short list of hotels on or near the strip.
There was one 3star hotel (they won't give the name until a purchase is made), that comes out to $222 a night (or about $55 each).
The other thing is this- http://www.travelnow.com/hotels/index.jsp?...9&specials=true
Type in Las Vegas, 4 people, and a larger list will come up with star ratings and your average nightly cost. There will be room taxes in addition to that as well.
One more thing is that you can stay in Old Downtown LAs Veags and the rooms will be cheaper.
Good luck and Viva Las Vegas !

When I was in Vegas, I stayed at a place called The El Cortez. It was in the Old Downtown, but had a bus line about a block away from the plaec that would let you get to the Strip for like $2 or something like that. Plus the casinos in the downtown area are the classics.
The gambling area of El Cortez is a little iffy, it is made up of mostly locals, however, the room were very nice.

I usually get cheap Vegas rooms through TravelWorm.com
For last-minute stuff like this, RatesToGo.com is quite good.
Both have given me excellent results in the past...

I hate LV buses. Too full.
You can always sneak people in rather than paying. It happens...

That was the nice part about where we stayed, it was at the start of the bus line so when we got on it was usually about 90% empty. People coming on after us where the ones who had to stand and what not.

I was just in Vegas for spring break, and my friends and I stayed at the new Hooters hotel and casino whcih is located across from the MGM Grand. We paid $59 a night for a room with two double size beds.

Thanks for the recommendations. I ended up finding a room at teh Excalibur for 108 a night with a strip view. Pretty good deal for Memorial day weekend, everything else was full or jacked way up. Athough cheesy, I like the Excalibur - goodlocationa nd good poker set up. Now we just need to find a campsite at the grand canyon.

I'm so desperate to stay at the Excalibur when I go to Vegas! It looks dead cool... and also, in my shared house last year, we called it Excalibur Cottage for some reason... We even made a plaque for the door. So it'd be pretty nifty to stay there!
Don't think my money will stretch to it though. Unless they have some good last minute deals at the time.
Anyway! Have a great time!

Yeah I played craps there when I went in October, the hotel wasn't open yet, just parts of the casino. I had been playing crap and the guy next to me was like "Your throwing in some big bets huh?" I had been down pretty badly and needed the comeback so my bets were pretty large, but I looked at him and was like "What's the old saying? Scared money don't make none?" He looked at me all flustered and upset by that and he goes "Yeah? Calling me scared? I ain't scared." then he tossed in his whole roll on the board, he must have thrown in close to a thousand bucks. They tossed a 7 on the next throw and he lost it all. He was like "Why did I do that? What did I have to prove to you? It's not even like your a woman or anything." It was funny to me but a hard lesson on him. He was telling me that was his money for the weekend etc, it was only Thursday night too. After that he walked away and I saw him leaving the casino.

A great deal that will compete with other hotels in Las Vegas is at the MGM Signature through Luxury Suites International. Their junior suite is very reasonable. With mountain views and with a moveable walkway to the strip, it will make your stay glamorous. There are tons of amenities and excellent accommodations for your story. Call them at 1.877.274.9288
