Lightbulb Semester in Dublin

Hey all! I am going to be spending this spring semester in Dublin. I will be there from February to May and I need some help. I have a ton of ideas of where I want to go and things that I want to see on some weekends that I will have free. As of now I have 15 countries on my list. Clearly that is way too much! So I need some advice.
The run down:
I am an architecture student, I want to visit places that have museums, nice parks, pretty much places that I can just walk around all day when I am free on the weekends.
Any recommendations?
I also am in need of some budgeting help, what have you guys spent on your trips and what should I expect to pay for a fun weekend?

Welcome! Weekend trips should be a breeze since Dublin is the main Ryanair hub. Aside from airfare I'd budget 50 euro a day for Western Europe and 25-30 euro a day for elsewhere. Pretty much any European city has all the things you described. Budapest stands out in my mind though. Basically anywhere you walk in the city center has some gorgeous architecture!

I'd sign up to Ryanair, Aer Lingus and BMI babys websites (the irish websites end in the domain .ie) They always have some deal for flights around Europe, they often send me out offers for tax free flights or half price flights.

Yes RyanAir is amazing - when the weather's perfect and nobody's having a paddy! Haha but I'd suggest going over to London for sure, such a great city and Hyde Park is gorgeous. Also - while in Dublin you simply must go to Copper Face Jack's - the most fun I've had in all of Ireland! And don't wear anything too nice...

I would also look into hostels if you're planning on saving some money. Honestly, some are just as good as hotels, sometimes even better. I would search for student rate and see what pops up for discounts. Have fun! It'll be the best experience of your life!
