I figure most of you know what Rocky Horror is. But for those of you who do not I shall explain (at least the story I know). It all started with this horrible B-flick that no one liked in NYC. This one theater started showing it at mid-night, like a mid-night horror special. Pretty soon people started coming up with lines to yell to the screen, mostly all sexual and preverted. But the whole scene is still active, and the movie was made back in like the 80s.

So I was wondering what everyone's first time was like if you've been. My first time was so weird, lol, thank god I wasn't 18...hehe. Of course the only theater I've been to is the one in Delaware and since I'm moving 10 mins from where it all started I was thinking of making a pilgrimage to the original show (well not really - they moved theaters). But I was wondering if anyone has noticed that shows are different in seperate theaters. I mean every show is different but is there a big difference like custome or line-wise, so I can at least prepare. I'm not one to get dressed up but if it's common at the NYC show I will. Fun times. I have never seen it in NYC but I have here in Chicago. My first time I went was in Old Town at a midnight showing. I could not believe all the people in drag with rice, toast, and water guns. It was wierd but a great time!!!

In NYC, you'll get your ass kicked if you don't go dressed up

Just kidding, but in both SF and LA, it wasn't uncommon for someone to get splashed/sprayed with something unpleasant if they weren't dressed... I went without dressing up in LA, and I was spared because I promised I'd sing along to everything. I didn't.

Ah, don't be scared. Just do what most of the girls do and wear a black negligéé over something else or under a coat.

Aaaaaah. RHPS...... do the casts in your areas ever do themed shows. IE the shaddow cast switches sexes, or does a movie theme ect... well my first show was entitled "Babes In Toy Land". One guess what every prop in the show was.

. Durring the "virgin games" or the preshow where everyone who has'nt been to a showing before participates in on stage. I got my fish nets stuck in some guys watch chain, and had to be untangled before I could go back to my seat. LOL. Got to love Rocky though. so naughty.......

Wait - ive seen the movie, but they actually dress up and do a midnight viewing in the states? Awesome. Do they still do this?

where I live they do it on the last saturday of EVERY MONTH! its great. the pre-show starts at 11:00, sometimes theres a band, then they have the "virgin games". After that the show starts at midnight, and they act it out on stage infront of the screen. Its tonight actually, and I havent been in forever, so I'm really hoping to be able to go. they do it every friday in atl at the fox theater.

HAHA I was part of the virgin games when I went in Seattle. I think I went twice after the first time. Id like to go to one again.

virgin games are usually ways to get people on the stage and embarass them, but usually fun, and hilarious.
