summer in toronto
Hey guys!
I'm thinking of travelling to toronto next summer. now i don't have a working visa and i don't think i'll b able to get one (i'm not in one of the "participating countries"), so I was wondering if was hard to get a job without this visa in toronto, i figure it's easier in the summertime... what do you guys think?

I would assume that it would be easier than most other Canadian cities, just because of the vast non-Canadian born immigrants. I would assume there has to be a large population that is working under the table there.
Hostels and pubs seem to be good places to start for those types of jobs.

I dunno.. I've found we Canadians are a strict bunch on things like that. Depending on what kind of work your looking for.

^ Agreed. It's hard enough to find a job when you are a legal citizen...where are you from btw?

Yeah, for non-SIN (social insurance number) kind of jobs, its gonna be tough because you need some hookups.
I've only had one of those jobs in my life, and it was a sketchy valet gig in high skool where they paid me under the table.
If you are determined to move to Toronto, i'd say check places downtown like queen west, kensington market, chinatown, the bar areas... perferrably places with a high concentration of hippies who do not care for the man's rules.
