is a TEFL certificate really useful?
I just turned 27, dropped out of college and am looking to find work abroad teaching English. Can a "TEFL certificate" help me out with that? I don't plan on finishing my degree anytime soon. Where is a good place to get a reputable/accredited certificate? Thanks! any additional info is appreciated.

I think it can definitely help, but it's not always necessary to score a job. It may depend on the country you're interested in teaching in...as well as the school - location, quality, reputation, etc. I was looking at teaching, and don't have a certificate, and found a lot of opportunities in Asia; although I'm not sure what their degree requirements are. Korea, China and Japan are in a high demand for english teachers, so I'm sure you can find some jobs or programs that just want you and your native language!
