Cheapest Route from Australia?
Cant think of a better section to post this in, just was looking for people who have visited canada from australia, which route they found was the cheapest... IE, the first obvious answer is AUS --> LA -->CAN but, yeah, i dunno, just looking for some ideas to begin flight searching.
Like most of us, im looking to spend as little as possible on flights!

You're making the pilgrimage to the Great White North?
The cheapest flight I could find went from Syd - Fiji - Hawaii - Vancouver. Multiple stop overs turned it into a horrendously long trip (30 odd hours from Syd to Van), but it saved me $600 so I didn't mind.
When I'm searching for a flight, I just use all the flight search engines. I can't remember the names of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure a quick google search will put you on the right track. Being flexible with departure dates is an easy way to knock $200 off a ticket.
What are your plans for Canada?

Cheers old mate, thats what i was thinking, dont really mind the route, just looking at some costings at the moment, and just in the budgeting stage to see if i can get it all together by next june/july...
And yeah, will be flexible... even thinking not even booking any flights till like a week or two out, not sure if this is likely to save me any money though over buying a ticket say 3-4mths out...
Ive got time, and not really in a rush to get things happening...
Wouldnt mind catching a AMA MX race in the states whiles im over thataway as well as a bit of the north west, and then onwards to Canadia...

Seeing as you've got plenty of time I would say the best thing to do is just keep watching out for any awesome deals. That's what I did my first time flying to Canada and I managed to score a pretty good fare. The second time around I didn't have the luxury of waiting for a good price and had to pay A LOT more.
You're an MX rider? I was a trail rider for years before moving to Canada.
