Whistler- Cheap Accomodations
Hi guys- I used to be a more active member of T-punk but then I got a job that keeps me busy. I still read the posts but don't have time to post myself.
I've finally found some time to sneak away and am planning on heading up to Whistler beg of January.
Any suggestions for cheap places to stay in Whistler? The HI Hostel is booked for the dates I'm planning on going. There are 2 of us and we would prefer to stay in the Village.
Thanks in advance

The best place over there on a budget - Shoestring Lodge - is long gone. So very sad...
I haven't checked out any of the other places listed on the Hostelz.com page, but from experience, I say anything closer to the village is better. Although Creekside isn't super far, it can be quite a slog in the winter, and a pain to get home after a night of partying in the village.
Personally, I've gone with a group of friends and gone splits on one of the cheaper (that term being relative...) hotels in the village as found on Expedia. One group we ran into there said they got a killer package deal on a hotel, lift tickets, etc. through Costco, of all places.
