English is my first language & I learned French through immersion school when I was a kid. People in France said I had a nice accent which makes me smile and people in Morocco thought I was French and I can't argue with that. Still, I'd like to improve my grammar and vocabulary so I'm thinking of taking a continuing studies course at the university here.

I learned some Spanish using Rosetta Stone and hanging out with Spanish speakers but I have a ways to go before I'll be fluent. I'd like to learn more languages after that.

Republic of Serbia is where I was born. But my Mother is Rhodesian, and my father Serbian. I lived throughout Africa from a young age though, Mozambique (picked up some portugues) South Africa, Zambia, Botswana. And learnd Romanian from my father who by blood is Transylvanian Saxon.

I actually live in Jacksonville Florida now, so not really below the equator. Hopefully will be making a move to Seattle soon.

Trying to learn Portuguese but often confuse it with things I've learned in Spanish and French. It's an ongoing struggle.

Hablo español, un poco. If I brush up could pull off basic conversation or buying something in Norwegian, German, or Czech, maybe French. I learned basics of those when I traveled to Europe, but don't use it, lose it. Magyar was pretty tough, basically had hello, thank you, and please. lol
