So probably no surprises here but...
Berlin, Germany. Berlin has pretty much everything you could possibly want or need in a city.
Beautiful buildings, history, culture various night life, excellent public transportation, friendly locals, great accomadation and so much stuff to do. I love Berlin.

wow what a tough question!

But when it comes down to it, I'd have to say Madrid because of:

1 the ridiculous hot girl:man ratio
2 the completely AWESOME nightlife (party till 8am!)
3 art scene is great
4 people know how to enjoy life
5 REALLY, its number 1 and 2 that count

For me it was a toughie cos I always fall in love with random cities... Valencia, Spain; Heidelberg, Germany... but the city I had SO much fun in and I think "has it all" for me?

Munich, Germany.

Amazing eats, unlimited places for beer, beautiful sights, good hostels, amazing nightlife! And it's a great location for some cool day trips.. Dachau, Neuschwanstein, etc.

Please take a bike tour with Mike's Bikes (the best bike tour company in Munich, IMO) for $20 and you'll hit it all, and stop for lunch and beer in the English Garden.

I can't really pick a favourite because I have liked all the places I have been in Europe. But if I was picking one to move to tomorrow I would probably go with London; great history, a good travel hub, lots of pubs, lots of rugby and lots of theatre.

I gotta say that it is Amsterdam with Cordoba (Jewish quarter) pulling up a very close second.

Yeah, you cant go wrong with the Dam, buttttt, Utrecht and Maastricht offer alot of the same without the crazy tourist overload, and the Dam is just a short train ride away... As is most of N. EU....

We all have different reasons when choosing a place for vacation or holiday. Some wanna go to places for fun and excitement while others want places where nature is the main attraction. For me, I'd like to go to Rome 'cause I want to go to places where I can learn something - especially history. I've actually have been to Vietnam where I learned how the tunnels worked (I mean the tunnels that were used during the war between Viet and USA). I've also been to Angkor Wat where I've learned a lot about the temples.

I haven't been to many, but out of the ones I have been to I'd have to say Barcelona. Great food (especially the sweets), beautiful parks, beautiful beach, and great architecture. We rented bikes and rode along the Barcelona water front. This by far made it the best day for me in Barcelona.
