Wow, how many ft high was that climb?
The last "mountain" I scaled was only a 300' rock dome - but we did sleep on top of it. With no gear. And windchill. And no way down in the pitch dark. Saw some Tengu mountain spirits too. Lolz...nothing like learning the hard way.
Anyhow, I think I'm officially sold. I need to start doing those jump shots too...

5723 ft...
"begins at 1710 feet at trailhead and rises 4013 feet in 4.1 miles"
the hike wasn't that bad, although i was sore the next day, so that says something.
It's supposed to be a good winter hike for those that are trying their hand at mountaineering. (if the road to the trailhead isn't already closed that is). the parking lot at the trailhead was already closed, but the road was open. My friend's BF said that he has snoeshoed the road that leads to the trailhead in the winter months.
and yeah, nothing makes for less boring trip photos than just doing something out of the ordinary. :D

^its a beautiful area. i moved here about threes ago and i'm still in love. there is just so much hiking, mountaineering, climbing, kayaking, sailing ect to be done around here. it's like an outdoor adventurers wonderland.  i'm currently training for skills to hike mt rainier here in the near future. that one is going to be su-weet!

I saw Mt Rainier out of the plane window when I was flying from Seattle to L.A. a few weeks back, it looks bloody amasing...and big! Now that's a story that I want to hear.
