The wrist band things work for some people but not others. Dramamine (or any other motion-sickness medication) is great but they WILL knock you out.

Sickness is the biggest problem that we faced while on traveling. According to me doing exercise while on trip is a best way to stay fit and healthy. It is your daily routine then you can do better.

Motion sickness is caused by a conflict between inner ear motion detection, but their eyes do not see movement. Things like reading books, which we're not seeing movement will provide you with motion sickness. The best thing to do is simply look at the landscape around it as it goes. This will eliminate the conflict, and will keep well.

I took some travel sickness pills recently that worked wonders, and unlike what space virgin said, they didn't make me remotely tired.

I think the 'drowseyness' that comes with taking travel sickness pills completely depends on the person. Some will be affected very badly, while some will notice hardly anything. For me, I get alot more drowsy from a glass of wine!

However, one other thing I've found that helps is having music on headphones in my ears. Don't know why, it's quite bizarre, but it makes a world of difference!

Yeah, this actually has worked for me too. I think concentrating on music takes your mind away from thinking about how bad you feel.
