I've been meaning to go see friends I met through couchsurfing in Finland for a while now and this is the year. I like to take in at least two countries on my trips in an attempt to visit every country in the EU.
Ryanair fly to Tampere in Finland so I was looking for where I could fly from and the only county I haven't been to is Italy.
Ryanair fly between Milan and Tampere so I was thinking I could maybe rent a car in Milan, go down and see the Ferrari factory then catch a plan up to Finland. I did want to go to Estonia as well to finish off that corner of Europe but it doesn't look like I could do it easily and cheaply.
Everyone says the Italians are crazy drivers but everyone around here calls me a crazy driver so maybe I'll fit in. Has any drove in Italy? I've heard Milan's a nice area so I think the car would be the best option.

It could be dodgey People say I drive like a lunatic but I don't drive in cities that often and I'm now on a driving in Dublin boycott since I tried to turn at the end of O'Connell street only to end up out at the airport. Ah well, should be fun, at least they won't be able to understand the horrible things I'm shouting at them when I lose the rag behind the wheel.
This video about Italians could just as easily be about Irish.

You can take a ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn for a relatively cheap amount. There are several options depending on how quick you want the trip to be - but i dont recommend taking the fast boat if you're hungover. Skipping over the waves is not good for the head or stomach. ;-)

Ya they have one of them small fast ferrys that go between Ireland and Wales to, one of the lads at work says he doesn't even bother booking it anymore because if a duck farts in the Irish sea it gets canceled. I was on it once and everyone just stood around looking at each other wondering when we were going to die, it was literally flying through the air at times.
I'd like to get the ferry over from Tallin it's just a pain to get to Tallin in the first place, Ryanair makes it easy to hop from Dublin to Italy to Finland and back home. I'm seeing prices of €120 one way to Tallin whereas I'm hoping to get all the flights for not much more than that or less even.
