Hiking Advice
I have decided that on my round-the-world adventure starting this summer, I want to go on a hike for a week or two through Nagorno-Karabakh (one of those former soviet break-away states in the Caucasus). I've only ever done day hikes before though, so I was wondering if I could get some advice.
I will be carrying a tent with me at the time, along with my full rucksack (will only have the 1 rucksack with me on my trip), so will be hiking at a fairly relaxed pace. The thing is I won't have a stove or anything like that to cook with, so what are my options for food? I'd expect to pass through a village every now and again where I could get supplies, but can anyone give suggestions as to what sort of things I could carry to eat? I'd want to be carrying at least 2 days worth of food and water.

Hmmm I really think you should invest in a small camping stove... just a little burner and gas, because if you only "expect" to be passing through towns... you really don't want to go hungry, then you can bring things that are light and cook up to be hearty like rice and pasta. But seriously consider a small stove.. they can be attached to the outside of your pack no worries... this will also enable tea making a definite must  (sorry this doesn't appear helpful upon re-reading)
