WELCOME Waterboy!!!!

Wow! You are such a good planner!!! I noticed you want to spend all your time in Greece in Athens...Well, if you love cities, it's ok, But I was in Greece for 12 days and spent only 1 day in Athens and it was enough for me...Try to visit some islands if you can!!! :D

well, i've been to Greece twice... thats where my fathers from. Pretty big family with houses everywhere. In the city, suburbs, on the beach, on an island. So...i'm pretty sure they'll be taking me everywhere

Helluva an itinerary, Waterboy! I consider myself a guy who plans stuff out fairly thoroughly, but you put me to shame!

Suggestions:
When in Lisbon, take a day trip up to Sintra, with its cool hike up the forested hill to the old Moorish castle.

When in Madrid, you can take day trips via train very easily. My favorite was Segovia -- gorgeous historical town, with cool historical sights like this cool castle. Of course, to do this, you have to tear yourself away from the all-night-long party scene in Madrid!

Not so sure what there is to do for four days in Milan. I seem to remember reading it is just a big, industrial city. Definitely need some day trips outta there, I would think. Or maybe even try the Cinque Terre, like Dmac did recently.

Ditto on the train and day trips out of Amsterdam. For a kind of touristy, but neat looking town with canals, windmills and such, try Delfft. You'll see scenes like this:

Have a great trip, Waterboy, sounds like you're off to a great start!

Yikes! Sounds like you're a guy who likes to plan. I support that. Is there a reason for such a schedule? I'm just saying don't be surprised if your course changes completely! Personally, I live for all of those unexpected changes.

When I started my 6-month stint through Europe my plan was this:

Fly into London then figure it out from there.

And I'm quite glad I did it that way. I had a few places I knew I wanted to hit. Some I lost interest in and some I added along the way.

-I ended up going back to Prague twice and travelling in and out of Edinburgh, Scotland (bah! why don't i see Edinburgh on your itinerary?!) for two months.
-I planned to stay with family in Turin, Italy for about a week and when I got there I absolutely could not stomach the thought of living with them. The next day I was on a train to Rome!
-The first time through Oslo, I had to escape to Sweden because I was being stalked by one of the locals!!!
-On a train to Zurich my mom called my cell phone and informed me that I should return to Norway because we found out I had family there!
-I got stranded on an island off the coast of Sweden (Gotland. You really should see it! ) for a week and loved every minute of it.
-I fell in love with a Norwegian guy and went back to Norway a couple of times. Ryanair.com and Easyjet.com are beautiful things.
-On my way to Madrid from Rome there were complications when I got to Montpelier. I decided to skip Spain all-together at that point and head straight up to Paris (not a bad resolution to a hissy-fit, I'd say).

God, this doesn't even scratch the surface of everything that happened. If you like your plan, stick with it, but what about the liberating feeling of getting drunk at some bar in Vienna with some fellow solo-travellers and shouting "hey, what if we all went to Prague tomorrow?"

And what about taking a couple days at a time to accomodate inevitable sensory overload or, dare I say it, illness?

Anyway, have fun and live the mystery!
