we have 2 weeks in spain.
3 males

July 3rd and 4th Barcelona
5th through 7th pamplona for the bulls
8th and 9th san sebastian for some rest
up to this point this is set in stone.
10th to 12th madrid (sidetrips to toledo and segovia)

heres my problem. we fly out of sevilla on the 17th in the morning, so this gives me 4 more full days.

we want to see salamanca, granada, and of course sevilla. does 2 nights in salamanca, 1 night in granada and the 1 remaining night in sevilla sound like a plan? i dont know if this all makes sense since we will be out all night and all of this traveling while hungover will be misery. if you had to cut out a city which would it be? granada or salamanca or any other suggetions would be welcome

I think maybe you've set a schedule that will be difficult to follow. Also you'll be kicking yourself if you only allow 2 days for Barcelona-- or use those "extra days" at the end of your trip to go back there. Seriously.

For a two week trip personally I'd limit myself to 4 cities, MAYBE 5 if day-trips were an option. Spain is a very big country-- all that moving around is going to take up an enormous amount of time. They don't have the high-speed bullet trains like France does, and it's a 5 hour drive from Barcelona to Valencia alone.

Yea, I agree with SV...slim it down some. 4 cities would be plently for 2 weeks. Also...Salamanca is awesome, one of my favorites in Spain (though Avilla would probably be my number 1).

I agree with sv....stuff needs to be cut; yup, like she said, I had plenty of 7-8 hour bus/train rides around Spain...

Well, Granada was one of my favorite places and it is the home of the Alhambra which along with Sagrada Familia in Barcelona were my top 2 things I saw. So I wouldn't leave that out. Seville has the Alcazar and I really liked too. Salamanca is beautiful....but really, I didn't come across any place in Spain that wasn't. It is most famous for its old university, which is of course beautiful, but there isn't much more there "to see".......well unless I missed something major.

So if it were me, I'd leave that out. But yeah,...you might want more time in Barcelona and/or Madrid..

definitely give barcelona an extra day, it's worth it. Oh, and as has been said before, trains are super slow in Spain except for the AVE train that does Madrid to Sevilla in 3 hours.
