I know it sounds shallow and that I'm on vacation but five weeks is a long time not to go to a gym. Are there any gyms in the hostels or any sports clubs that you could "tour" for an hour or so. Has anyone ever tryed sneaking into a hotel and using their facilities?

Its not a huge priority on my list but I go to the about gym 3 times a week and it's gonna be hard to go 5 weeks without going at all.

There's an exercise bike at the hostel I stayed at in Barcelona.... Ok, so it's kind of a joke, covered by streamers and surrounded by pinwheels, but it worked!

I never came across a gym, especially in hostels. But if you're looking for a gym, you're probably bringing running shoes, so you could always just run wherever you're travelling if you're not tired of walking everywhere! I'm not sure where you're travelling, but chances are the scenery will be a lot more interesting than inside a gym anyway! You'll also get weight training in by lifting and walking with your backpack...
