Hi Guys,
Decided to register after reading through the boards as a lot of good advice floating around. Basically this summer a friend and I are planning on hitting Europe. We are 20year old lads and looking to have the best time possible on a low budget.
We're from the UK and are looking for the best party possible as well as getting a killer tan to boast about, all over the course of about a month so am really looking for top destinations that are worth checking out as well as anybody who fancies meeting up??
The only plan we have at the moment is to get ourselves to Paris and then let the good times role, go where ever we want. We want to try and hit as many countries as possible and make the most of the money we have (Student loan - love it).
Obviously I know that this is such a basic and simple plan but we've only just thought about doing it. We leave it up to you guys. Any advice you have, money involved etc would be much appreciated.

do you have an idea of the countries you'd like to see because that would make a big difference in the planning. how much money do you have to work with? a little more information and we will be able to help you out alot more.
thanks

That can be done easily, it's easy as fup to travel around Europe on a European Passport the most you would pay for a flight anywhere is about €150 and that's next day (Emergency return home). We even get a special line at the airports to get us through quickly.
Most citys have trains leaving on the hour to other big citys the most I payed for a train was about €80 (Barcellona - Paris, Paris to Berlin was about the same) trains on the mainland are all speedy and even run on time!
The Algarve in Portugal is good but very touristy in places and not very cheep but cheep. Anywhere in portugal or Spain is prety much party central.
Berlin.
Anywhere in Eastern Europe.

Yeah, like I said starting from Paris and then move around from there, def want to go to:
South France, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Germany and Spain, then depending on the feedback either head North through Denmark, Norway and end up besotted with a Swedish beauty or head South through Switzerland and on to Italy.
We have a friend in Prague who's offered to put us up as well.
We don't really want to do the sort of commercial party towns, ie Ibiza style as lived in Malia, Crete last Summer and have been to loads of those types of places. Now I'm looking for places that you guys have been to and found to be good to go out in, maybe because of other backpackers or just a lively place.
Just looking for ideas on places to go, let us know.
As for budget, will have around £1500 each in the backburner, getting the one off train ticket sounds like our cheapest option of travel for the month and gives us the most flexibility.
Really want to have a laugh and enjoy it and visit those amazing places you all talk about. Just point us in the right direction.

first off welcome to the boards....always nice to have a fellow brit on the board!
I would definately try and head east or stick to the southern Med as this will be the cheapest option. As for heading up the Nordic countries you could easily blow your budget in 2 weeks, its about £6 for a big mac!
