Varna

I've been looking on the net about different places to stay in Varna and I've seen a few places like the Golden Sands, Albena, St. Konstantine and in the city of Varna. I would like to see the city of Varna, but I'd also like to lay on the beach and go out most nights where younger people are, Im 22. Any advice on where to go? Or maybe do a couple of days in Varna then a couple at the Golden Sands? I dont want to spend too much money but Im prepared to pay a little more for a few days at a resort.

Well the main city of Varna is pretty small so would only need a day or so to sightsee, it has a good beach and the seafront is also lined with nightclubs (which open out onto the beach), so it's definitely worth visiting there. I haven't been to the resorts so can't really comment on them, but I bet they'd be very expensive in comparison. However, not many people in Varna spoke English, I imagine in a resort the majority would.
