Cool

Wondering how to best hunt out the local food. Not the exspensive kind, the kind that people eat daily??

Make some local friends, organise a culinary party at their place...Heheh! I did that in Bulgaria and...What a party! First you eat like a pig :eat: , then get drunk...

I think that most people are intersted in making you taste their food...

Ask to see a menu before you eat, check it out see if anything tickles your fancy...Take a look at the conditions of the place..if you hear the moo of a cow in the back, I would say moo-ve on ( <- BAD JOKE)

The best people to ask about where to eat is people who live where you are treking, wether it guinee pig in Peru or a hanging duck in Beijing China the locals will have all the info you will need..just ask about an someone will lead you in the right direction....

I walked for an hour one time in Havana because someone told me the best fish in town was served in this restaurant...And it was worth the walk...the walk made the meal that much better!!!

I am just trekking through Europe this summer and I am a journeyman cook. This food thing is giving me a little worry, I don't think I could live on cheese and bread for fourteen weeks. Yet I am trying to do the whole budget thing. I have budgeted twenty Canadian dollars a day for food, I am travelling from Istanbul through Ronmania and up to London overland hitting most of the countries in between. What kind of diet do you think I can ecpect??
