^ true, but I have all sorts of homework to do. It's 10 in the morning and I am still legally drunk. I'm screwed.

I came very close to blacking out last night. I had been sitting in the spa at my apartment complex for about an hour, sipping on vodka and coke. It was very relaxing, but when I finally got out I could barely stand and my vision was fading to black. I sat down for a couple minutes, but I seemed to only get more lightheaded so I made a dash for my apartment before I passed out on the concrete. I made it barely made it back, but I laid on the floor for a few minutes and it was ok. I drank in the spa before and never had this happen before, so i dont know what to make of it.

Glad to report no touch of a hangover today. Christ almighty the mai tais were strong-- took one sip and gasped. I asked Janna if she'd even bothered to use mixers with the rum. She said that the mixers were sitting *next* to the rum, did that count? I think all she did was pour the rum, wave the mixer over the booze for "atmosphere" and say "voila!"
Somn, had it been a while since you'd eaten? That could really fuck you up if you're in a hot tub.

happens to me on a semi-regular basis (without being drunk)......it's called orthostatic hypotension...sudden drop in blood pressure when you stand up...vision blacks over, light-headedness/dizziness...I'm sure the heat from the spa didn't help either...it's not serious though, especially if this is a rare occurrence

That is the worse feeling in the world (or one of them). Hasn't happened to me in a while, but I remember vividly when it would.

Capped off by one afternoon at SF's Oktoberfest

What prompted 6 days with no sleep? Meth binge?

Hope that since it's now TUESDAY, everyone is happy and hangover free!
I went to Oktoberfest this weekend and had a lot to drink. WAY too much in fact. The next morning was not fun at all, went out to breakfast with my friends and spent more time with my head in the porcelain bowl than sitting at the table. And then, during my afternoon nap on the couch, my friend turned the music up on max and started vacuuming right beside my poor, thumping head.
Needless to say I am feeling about 90% better today...but seriously doubt I will be able to get my drink on this weekend as planned.

I'm happy to say that for the last two weekends, I've been hangover free. First time(s) since getting back from Europe and I really needed the break. This weekends gonna get me back and track.

Nothing so glamorous, I'm afraid... I was working my annual conference for work, wherein I'm on call 24/7, I have daily "shows" to put on, and at the same time put up with hundreds of our clients. Hmmm.. maybe I'll have to call up a meth dealer for next year's shindig.

well....well...well...who's the lush now? it's 'bout time. we all couldn't believe how bright and lively you were the day after drinking on 6th street at the austin meet-up. as i remember, sarah and i thought it was funny that you were wearing a sunshine t-shirt while all of us were praying for our lives and hiding from daylight. (or at least i was )
in all seriousness, i hope you feel better brooke.

haha...yeah I will totally accept "lush status" for this past weekend. I was actually thinking about Sarah when I was wearing my sunglasses in the restaurant (as she was in the rooftop bar in Austin) So ya'll were in my thoughts!
Seriously though, Drunk Brooke is a lot of fun.... She may not make the most sound decisions...but she is one fun bitch!
And thanks, I do feel better. The headache has faded and I am down to only three advils per dosage. I am such a bad drunk, the hangover puts me out of commision for days.
