Hey folks!
Thought I'd be polite and introduce myself 
I'm 23, from the Uk (nr London) and I'm a newbie to travelling the world. I'm one of these people from the school of thought that one should see some of your own country first - so I did, and now I'm curious about other parts of the globe -
First stop Australia - woohoo! (wanted to go for ages)
Then New Zealand and hopefully Canada, Thailand, Mexico and Singapore.
Can't wait! 
Looking forward to conversing with fellow madcap travellers and hope to be swapping stories of skint insanity in strange places over the coming months!

When abouts are you travelling? I'm going to New Zealand and Australia for a year, begining in June 2006. I'm in Toronto now. What parts of Canada were you thinknig of visiting?

welcome , i grew up in north London, so where abouts are you? (i now live in N,Ireland by the way)
I also am going to oz, and i was supposed to go months ago but haven been able to, but i can give you ideas, so if you need info give me a shout...

NTMY Bookofkels. my dads from N.Ireland (Portrush) - I'm in Watford - but not for long! - I hope to be out in Oz in November at latest, so any info esp on hostels (which ones are best where etc would be great).
Hi Teri - I'll be travelling for about 6/7 months and I usually just go with the flow of things so not really planning anything too rigidly - expecting to be in Canada late March/early April time.
Really want to see Toronto - my sister went, and raved about it, how are you finding it over there? also want to see Vancover, Clayoquot Sound (whale watching/seals) and then some of the more wild out of the way places. Would love to go to volunteer in Yellowstone park (love wolves) for a while too.
All these dreams and not enough money yet 
Oh and I really want to spot a Mountie! Cute
