Hello there peeps, just thought I'd introduce myself as I am planning a big trip and so will probably be spending a lot of time on here asking advice and listening to your stories! And I thank you all in advance for any help you give me!!!!!!!

At the moment I live in Blackpool, England (I have been living in London for the last 3 years). I've done a bit of travel across Europe and the States in the little time i've been on this planet, and I've got a 10month backpacking trip booked from October 2005 to Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand!

It wouldn't happen to be The Tache would it? Its a rock club in Blackpool; a complete dive, but the only one the town has. Mind you, every dance floor in Blackpool clubs is rank :S

Sorry beergal1, i read 'revolting' dance floor hehe The one with the revolving dance floor is the Syndicate. Many a times that floor has confused me in my drunkeness!

I'm living in N,Ireland and i am planning my trip to Oz, i hopw to be away be sept but if the money say's no then i'll have to wait till after Christmas

Mate if you have any questions about those countries feel free to ask us as i have backpacked through all of those countries even my own (Australia)

In Thailand you have to see Bangkok, Chang Mai and Ko phan-nga awesome spots

In New Zealand Dunedin,Queenstown and Bay of Island great parties all through there

Also if you are planning on coming to Darwin give us a yell and i will show you around

Bookofkels; how long are you going to be out there for?

Danny; I'm going on my own too! I don't suppose you know if i can get from Thailand (South) over to Medan in Sumatra, via boat? I've got flights from the UK to Bangkok, and I have to make my own way over to Indonesia (preferably by boat). Also, do you think its worth bothering with the North island of New Zealand? I'm on a pretty strict budget and only have 3 months in New Zealand....
