Last night I went to Target to buy some wax strips for my eyebrows. So much cheaper than getting it done somewhere. I also saw this creme hair remover for the bikini zone (sorry boys, girl stuff I guess) so I decided to try that too. The first box I picked up was empty so I just grabbed the one behind it and paid and left.
So today I open the box and see that there is TWO tubes of the stuff in it. There is only supposed to be one. I am guessing that someone put the extra one in this box and meant to come back and buy it so they got one free?? I don't know. Anyway....like I said I feel like a shoplifter!!
I guess I will not have to buy the stuff again for awhile...

Thanks Qwardian, you saved me the work.
We forgive you Benna - think of it like karma for the last time you went to a crappy restaurant and over charged you.

I was just thinking about what would have happened if the casheir thought the box was a little heavy and checked it. I could have freakin been charged. That would have pissed me off royally!

ROFL, I felt bad too about a month ago. I was in a drug store here in town and picked up a small bottle of nail polish. My sister asked me if I had the keys to the car so I put my hands in my pocket and fished around for them.
We left the store after buying like $100+ worth of assorted very girly crap and I get home later and am emptying my pocket and the nail polish is there!!
I felt SOOOO bad and for the week my sister ran around callin' me a shoplifter. lol. But now I'm over it and just remember not to pull the clepto move while I'm shopping.

We're talking about red-shirted, khaki pants-wearing Target clerks here, not profit-sharing professionals who have a stake in their store's performance...
On the other hand, if Target Loss Prevention saw you do that on camera, you would've been taken down the moment you got out of the door. Those guys are goooood... not that I know from experience or anything.

so i was in amsterdam the other day ( i love how that sounds) and i went into a store to pay for some thongs i picked up. while i was waiting, wyzfen was mulling around in the sea of tourists outside and he saw a guy at one of the racks, pick up a pair of shoes, check what size they were and put them in a bag, he ended up stealling three pairs of shoes (after checking they were all the right size) and quite calmly too, but there were so many ppl ther no one would have noticed.

A staples near me has the idea of security around. I was in there recently and noticed a few things,
The big bulbs that hold security cameras in them from the ceiling are empty. If you stand below them and look up and catch the light right you can see they are empty of cameras and also if you follow the conduit up towards the celing it ends with no wires coming out. Also there are no wires running along the beams to get to the would be camera shells.
Second is the detectors by the door. They are useless as well. They have no way of actually working because when I was in there I saw them move them to clean the floor around it. They are not plugged into the wall on the back where it should be for power. I thought maybe underground but after watching them meove them back there was no cabling under them.
Just two quick things i noticed when I was in there.

yeah they are good. they should work for vegas casinos. its amazing how much ppl like that care when they're making 8.00 an hour, but saving the company millions. maybe they get commission..i dunno....
i think people take their jobs too seriously sometimes. if i worked at target cashiering for 6.75 an hour, i wouldn't care who steals what.

AHHH! I know exactly how you feel. I tend to wear "lesbian cargo pants" with lots of roomy pockets, and stick my hands in my pockets as a matter of course. So many times I've been fishing for my apartment key only to find to my utter dismay I've stolen some useless item like trial size body wash or something idiotic. I would toy with the idea of bringing it back, but whats the use..
