It's depends on the hostel. Some hostels have co-ed dorms while others are strictly male only and female only. Read your guidebook, or search the web to make sure that your hostel has co-ed dorms. I once went to this hostel with my guy friend and they wouldn;t even let us have a private room together!? I was like I swear I won't do anything with him. he's like my bro! Nada nothing they still wouldn't let us. i don't know why though. Mabye it was half a nunnery or something.

how strange dio!

Welcome to the boards, JersAriz!

Yeah, it does depend on the hostel, but I think that most will let you have a private to share with your girl friend. Staying in dorms, might be tougher because of the co-ed non co-ed factor. Do you want to share the room with her? If it don't matter, no worries about the dorms, privates, or anything.

If you do want to room together, then go with privates I think. It might be $5-$10 (each) more a night, but you two get your privacy and won't have to worry as much about bed bugs, and scraggly looking travelers.
