I will be in Europe in October, November, and December. During this time many buses dont run. And the train is way to expensive for longer trips. So what would be the best way to get from place to place during these times?
A little more description would probably help in getting the best possible answer. Do you have particular countries in mind or are you talking about within specific cities? I'm not sure which buses won't be running...do you mean the busabout kind? Certainly you can travel on Eurolines (www.eurolines.com) all year round, they mostly have point-to-point long distance trips and are quite reasonable.
Have you checked into rail passes, as they can make the train fares a lot more reasonable in western Europe (click on the RailEurope banner for details)?
