I will be staying at Absolute Paris in Early June. I have heatd good things from friends and it has a good rating on hostelworld.com. It's near the metro and major attractions as well. Hope this helps!

If you're going in the summer, be sure to stay away from any hostels that host large groups of vacationing high school kids... something typical at larger, dorm-style places in Paris.

I stayed at the Blue Planet hostel. I probably wouldnt again. Rooms were tiny and shabby, staff was generally rude and not helpful. It is very glose to Gare de Lyon which is its only good feature.
