Here in Birmingham, AL every year they have a festival called the Crawfish Broil, which entails a lot of live bands and thousands and thousands of pounds of crawfish of course. Always good.

Yes Ace same thing... I think a few people here in the states call em crayfish, but crawfish (probably ended up being a different pronounciation turned spelling somewhere in history ) is what they're usally known as.

Crawdads, Crawdaddies, Crayfish, Crawfish, same difference. IIRC, all lobsters are crawdads, but not all crawdads are lobsters. Shrimpa are in the same family. Langostinos look like a cross between a big freakin' shrimp and a lobster with no claws...
In fact, I added one of these to my aquarium yesterday:
Blue Lobstaaaaaaah :D
Its pretty cool, named him "Zoidberg." :D In about 10 years when he's big enough, there may be some boiling water and drawn butter in his future :D

In my experience most other places (other than the deep South/US) crawfish/dads are much smaller. In Louisiana they can be up to 8 or 9 inches long (not including the claws). Any other places have them that size?
