Hey guys, most of you know that I am going to be over in Europe at this time, but there has been a change in plans. Unfortunately, Shanie will not be able to come with me due to money issues. I am now a lone backpacker. Here is the list of places that I am going:
1. Dublin
2. London
3. Paris
4. Bacrelona
5. Interlaken
6. Venice
7. Florence
8. Rome
9. Naxos, Greece
I will be in each place for about 5 days (+/-) and I am looking to hook up with anyone who is going to be there and is interested. I know that everyone says that the best way to see Europe is by yourself and on your own agenda, but I am a little scared of being there for a month and a half by myself. Knowing that there will be people there that I have at least had contact with before will reassure me even if our itinerary's only overlap for a day. We could always just meet for a drink or something!

Brit - this is what our schedule looks like (up until July):
June 13-22 floating around Ireland (starting in Dublin the going along the coast north a bit)
June 22 flying into Frankfurt and will be in Idar-Oberstein (Germany). Between then and the 29th we may go to Paris or head to Lyon.
June 29(ish) to July 4(ish) - Poland (Krakow, Zakopane and maybe Warsaw)
July 4-10(ish) - probably a little in Germany/France.
So, if anything coincides, we'll run into each other.

britkettle (what's the story behind that name??), i'm sure a gorgeous american girl will have absolutely no probs at all meeting people in Europe. In fact, i think after a couple of days you really will wanna be on your own because you'll be sick of all the attention. You'll have an absolute blast!!

Yeah, unfortunately, coming up with a cool name is not my strong suit.

hahaha, neither is mine....obviously.
When will you be in Europe?? I think i read somewhere that you're leaving on July 7, that's the day that i get to Europe. Might catch up at the airport, see so you have nothing to worry about, you'll have someone to be your travel buddy for the last 5 mins of your Europe trip

I'm always such a bully about this, Brit, but I vote to ditch the itinerary! All lovely places indeed but if you're anything like me you'll miss half those places and end up going to entirely different places and having an absolute blast as a result!
I get so sad when people go to the UK and don't visit Edinburgh. My eyes are literally beginning to well up.
That being said, I'll be in the neighborhood May 18th-Aug. 3rd. I have a bad habit of buying people drinks so you should keep in touch!

Hey little miss, as much as I would love to be able to just wing it for the whole trip, I have very carefully coordinated it so that I can be in Dublin with my grandma, and then in Paris and Barcelona with my boyfriend's best friend. It ended up being like a puzzle as far as the dates and locations go, so it is kinda fixed. That is more or less anyways. I am sure that the amounts of time that I will be spending in each place will vary, but there were some places that, for the sake of my budget, I wanted to book early in order to get a good price. Also there were places like Naxos, where I was afraid that if I didn't book now I would not be able to go!!
I would love to meet up with you over there and grab a drink!! I will stay in touch!

hi Brit. My brother and I fly into Dublin (from Seattle) May 30th. We have no intinerary set in stone, but plan on staying in the UK for a week...then flying to A-dam and working our way south...then east. Hit me up with a message on AIM (bennygoaty). Cheers and have a blast!!!!
