ok, so my friend and I are spending one day in Verona, and then getting up really early to take the train to Rome. I have heard that the hostel we're staying in (Villa Francescatti) is quite far from the train station. Normally, I think we would take a bus, but we want to be at the station for like, 7:30 am, and I don't know that the buses run that early. How feasible do you think it will be to take a taxi there? Will we be able to phone super early for a cab, or should we/can we (?) phone a company the night before and schedule for them to pick us up in the morning? This is my first big trip like this (and really, my first completely independent trip without any more knoweldgeable person with me) so I have no idea how things like this work.

hjmmmmm, well I would call the cab co. see what time cabs run at and if you can get an appointment in them a.m. talk to the hostel and see what they can offer you for help regarding cabs and whatnot..........worst case you head to the train station the night before and just stay there for the night, really its not that bad if you wanna be there for 7 30 it will start bustling around 6 Im guessing so grab a coffie and wait it out you wil only have to kill a few hours you can sleep or stay awake if you dont feel good about letting your guard down. but its was the old traveling is all about......roughin it!

Yes the train station is miles away. I would recommend when you arrive to ask the person at the hostel reception desk what to do. If you ask nice enough they may even order the taxi for you!
